Money Matters

There may be a number of welfare benefits which you may be  entitled to as a Carer and the person you care for may also be entitled to benefits. Some of the main benefits are:

Carers Allowance
Disability Living Allowance
Attendance Allowance
Help with fuel costs
Housing Benefit
Working age benefits

Disabled Facilities Grant - This grant you may be able to get from your local Borough Council. The grant helps towards the cost of adapting your home to enable you to continue to live there. A grant is paid when the council considers that changes are necessary to meet your needs, and that the work is reasonable and practical, To find out more about the grant click here.
