Joint Parliamentary and Lords Committee report on the Draft Care and Support Bill

The joint Parliamentary and Lords Committee has published a report following it's scrutiny of the Draft Care and Support Bill. The Committee makes over 100 recommendations including a call for new rights for young carers to help protect them from inappropriate care.

There is also an important announcement from the Carers Trust about a campaign to ensure that the recommendations to strengthen young carers' rights are turned into action.

Carers World Radio will be covering the developments on the Bill during a programme at 7pm on Thursday 21 March.  The programme will also report on concerns that parent carers appear to be missed off plans to strengthen the rights of all other groups of carers.
