Members of the Surrey CCG Collaborative, of which Action for Carers (Surrey) are a lead partner, attended an award ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London where they were amongst 11 finalists (nominated from 1600 applicants) in the Carers Commissioning Category of the HSJ (Health Service Journal) Awards.
The HSJ Awards have grown to become the largest celebration of UK healthcare over the last thirty four years.
With a background of the need for the NHS to improve efficiency, while maintaining or improving quality combined with the challenge of introducing new care models and navigating ever-increasing levels of government and regulatory scrutiny, it has become more important now than ever to recognise, celebrate and spread best practice and leading edge performance.
It is therefore, with great delight, that we are pleased to announce that the Surrey CCG Collaborative won the award!
Jamie Gault, CEO Action for Carers (Surrey) said that, "This is testament to the value of partnership working and, importantly, it is recognition of the significant contribution carers make not just in Surrey but across the UK".
