Mirjana Fowle

I am a parent carer, and I care for an elderly family member who lives with us. The job of an unpaid carer can be isolating and challenging and yet it is a great source of satisfaction and pride.

I used to work for a large corporation, managing global supply chains and multinational teams. I left my job to focus on my family and on my community. I was a school governor for five years in two different primary schools and a project manager for a multi-academy trust.

As a parent carer, I have amassed knowledge of Special Education Needs and Disabilities, Social Care, Transition to Adulthood, and recruiting and employing Personal Assistants.

I am active member and Treasurer of a local Women’s Institute.

I would like to use my skills and knowledge, accumulated in my many roles, to contribute to this amazing charity.
