Volunteer lived experience interviewer
It is important that registered carers feel understood by our paid staff and volunteers. Therefore, as part of our recruitment process, we have carer volunteers to join the interview panel and ask specific questions from a carer perspective. This helps us recruit the right person into the right role, with qualities that are important to carers.
We are looking for volunteers to support the interview process.
Working alongside an Action for Carers Manager, you will
- attend the office on agreed dates to participate in the interview process
- positively engage with candidates
- ask pre agreed questions to candidates
- help us follow a fair recruitment process in terms of equality, diversity and inclusion
We anticipate the time commitment to be 3 or 4 times a year, and the interviews will all take place in person at our offices in Burpham, Surrey. This means that the successful candidate will need to travel to this location. Mileage and travel costs are paid.
You must be an unpaid carer, looking after a family member or friend. No previous experience of interviewing or recruitment is necessary, and training and induction will be provided.
For more information, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator by emailing [email protected] or to apply, fill in the Volunteer Application Form enclosed in the Volunteer Application Pack. We are looking for volunteers to start in this role as soon as possible, so don’t delay – apply today.
