DMVAC Chooses Action for Carers Surrey as a Charity Partner for Dorking Tens 2025

We are delighted that Dorking and Mole Valley Athletics Club (DMVAC) has chosen Action for Carers Surrey as one of its two charity partners for 2025, alongside The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity at the Dorking Tens event on Sunday 1st June . This fantastic community event will help raise funds and awareness for both causes.

Club chair John Baker, says: ‘This is the first time the club has decided to make charitable donations and I’m delighted to say the two chosen charities have welcomed the move with enthusiasm.’

The initiative has been driven by club members’ desire to aid local charities that support better health and well-being and originated during Covid lock-down when members felt the need to support local people.

Claire Blunden, race director for the Dorking 10s, adds: ‘I feel very privileged and am looking forward to be working with The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity and Action for Carers Surrey over the coming months and on the day of the event. I am delighted the club has selected two wonderful charities to support this year.’
